Sometimes I think the Bible is the first and longest attempt at an aristocrats joke. I think the whole Book of Genesis could be interpreted to be a family going into a talent agency (Garden of Eden) then the whole bunch start saying and doing insane and ridiculous stuff even going so far as making it seem like they left the "talent agency", by the end it's so deep in the muck that it's also the first example of post-modernism even before we hit the modern era (it IS fragmented and out of order in some places, also there's some meta stuff going on in there too) where the words used aren't what they even mean anymore and "Amen" (the last word of the Bible) closes it out meaning "The End" but here "end" doesn't even mean the culmination of a thing, it is some reference that's lost now to some aristocratic group that existed in the time when it was originally written.

Other times I don't.
